I shot it and ordered one today. I normally prefer a longer axle to axle bow but ended up getting the 29.5.

How’s it compare to the VXR?

I have the vxr as well and plan on test driving the new one for comparison.

I’m a Mathews hater, but the lift is bad to the bone. I’m torn between the lift, the hoyt alpha, and the bowtech SR. All 3 are hammers this year.

Smoother draw, less mass weight (I care zero about that), and faster. Same awful grip, same awful tuning system, better factory strings. The vxr was the last Mathews I owned, and the lift is a fair bit better of a bow.

I prefer a heavier bow myself. Although it is nice to be able to put the weight where you want it to achieve the desired feel. Thanks for the feedback Wiz.

Agreed. Heavier bows hold so much better, especially in the wind. I don’t like having to add weight pointing 8 different directions.

Throw me in the heavier category as well but I do like to add weight to my front and rear stabilizer as needed.

Mathews should be sending Coastal Woodie a new bow every year on the house.
