Speaking of Venice, best way to get fish home when flying?

I was thinking pick up rolling cooler in New Orleans, freeze fish and check cooler otw back.

I'd rather not freeze it but don't think you can fly it without freezing.

Overnight ship on FedX. Won't be cheap, but in our experience that is the best option. Not sure if there is a blast freezer place there anymore.

Airline? Freeze ( or chill) the fish and use frozen gel packs.

Best way is to drive it home if someone in your group self transports. You can make a lot of people happy with some fresh Yellowfin...

I flew fish home from the lesser antilles. Fileted them and bagged in large bags. The night before I left I put them in the restaurant's large freezer. Froze the fish about an inch deep. Then put them in some soft sided coolers, inside another slightly larger softsided cooler that we used for carry ons. I had four total bags (one personal bag and one carryon for each person).

Triple bag so you dont drip fish juice everywhere. I didnt want to trust baggage with it.
