    Greenville, South Carolina, dentist shot, killed in parking lot of nightclub, records show
    Shooting happened early Friday morning

    Officials released new information about a man who was shot and killed by law enforcement in the parking lot of a nightclub early Friday morning.

    The Greenville County Coroner's Office identified the person killed as Matthew Edward Healey, 57, of Greenville. Public records show he was a local dentist.

    Lt. Ryan Flood said deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office and officers from the Greenville Police Department were called to the Trophy Club on Airport Road around 12:40 a.m. over reports of a man with multiple weapons in the parking lot.

    According to deputies, it was also reported that the man had been firing shots.

    Flood said when deputies and officers arrived, they encountered Healey and "one deputy discharged their firearm during the incident."

    Johnathan Bragg, with the Greenville Police Department, said a Greenville officer also fired a weapon.

    Flood said Healey was injured and taken to a hospital but died a short time later.

    Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

    So the dentist was the one firing shots, or was he a bystander? News story is a little vague.

    Saw the story on WYFF site, very confusing but did see a car with shot up windshield


    Thought I read his license had been suspended or something , maybe he planned on going out like Ben Sanderson in Leaving Las Vegas since he was at strip club
