Who shoots hen pintails?

My experience has been the complete opposite. I've lit more pintails in the decoys on public water than any other duck. Just to watch them swim around because of the reduced limit. Some massive groups that made my jaw drop. Yet my experiences with them in Canada have been that they are the least susceptible to the normal dry field tactics.
Still dry. I bet there is a loss of over 50% of the potholes in Saskatchewan.

Couple more weeks left, then I’ll be back in the shop working on orders and Christmas calls.

Just got back. Dry as shit. Dry as I’ve seen in 15 years of going up there. Still smacked them though. About the pintails, I’ve had them land on the spinner while 4 people standing beside the layouts talking after hunt over. They’re dumb as shit. You’ll never kill one if you can’t make it work in Canada....

Well what a season, I’m not a numbers guy but over 3500 birds harvested. Snows and mallards being the two species we killed the most of. Had a great time with the members and my buddy Luke Costilow.
Pray for rain or a big snow we need those dry potholes filled up. All in all I think we had a good hatch.
A lot of fun late season, sitting longer and picking out greenheads.
Ready for some family time and rest until December. I’ll be in the shop a good bit playing catch up. With one show in Easton the 10th-12th.

Your buddy makes some fine decoys (not the cranes). Been following him on instagram for a while. Bunch of birds
Luke has been consulting with G&H I can’t wait to see the next chapter. Really talented and a great guy.
Yeah the cranes were a run and gun last min deal. But he made it work!
I really want to shoot a crane
