    Default Restaurant coyote

These were at the outdoor seating section of a little beer pub outside of Los Angeles, just down the road from the Trump National golf course. Super sweet dogs that were very well behaved. They are Czechoslovakian Vlcak ("vul check") "Wolfdogs". About 150% the size of an average local coyote.

I saw one of them things on the beach at Edisto 2 years ago

Like a wolf on a leash
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands

I have no fear of dogs so I was right in their faces and scratching and rubbing them in all the magic dog itchy spots. Well not all. They responded like I was a pack member. They were very gentle and after a little doggy kissing, they'd kind of mouth your arm or hand, probably just taste testing.

All I've ever read about differences in temperament between dogs and wolves says that most of the vicious, unexpected violent behavior is more prevalent in dogs. Wolves and coyotes have blue blood and dogs often have some suspect backyard ancestry that can lead to psychotic behavior.

Hate to think if they got away around here. Collar or not, they are probably getting shot as a coyote.

If you’re dumb enough to buy a wolf, and let your wolf loose, the result of those two actions are on you.

You do realize it's not a wolf, right?

I'd have a harder time trusting the character wearing the black cape in public than the dog.

That was an attractive lady with her sweater hanging on the back of her chair. The weather was fantastic there last week. Coming back the the triple digits here was a bummer.

Restaurant Coyote would be a good band name.

I follow a coyote hunter on Instagram that ended up with a coyote pup or two when he presumably killed their mother. Same think with a badger. Pretty fascinating seeing his updates as he raised them and posted about them. He said the coyote never learned its name, couldn't really teach any commands, etc., but it would crawl on the couch and play like a pup. I'd imagine he had to do some serious ear biting to put it in its place in "the pack" since it never was truly domesticated.

Loose lips sink ships, and the PETA type folks got the law on him for some obscure violation, and he got at least the badger seized.

I had what I can best describe as a coy-dog for about 3 weeks when I was back home from Columbia my first summer.

My male lab Jack would galivant on 3-5 day nookie runs pretty regularly.
Being that he was pretty well known from Cameron to Santee, I'd get calls as far as Cameron or Santee to come get him.

Usually he'd wander back into the yard after a hard run. Scarred and scratched, dehydrated, and skinny.
Sleep and eat for a week or so and be back to roaming.

One day he showed up with a text book coyote pup maybe 12-15 weeks old in tow.
All coyote, except for its floppy ears.

Dern thing would yip and yap about dark every evening it was with us.
Friendly as all get out and would come when I slapped my hip and whistled.

Came home from fishing one day and it was gone.

I wish I had gotten a picture of it.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
