It’s my wife’s vehicle so we never tow with it I was just surprised how horrible gas mileage it got.

My 4500 Cummings gets right at 11 pulling my 16k lb camper. And I ain’t gotta listen to it shift back and forth every 10 seconds and whine

Dads 2wd 4.8 truck got 9mph pulling his sportsman from cola to the coast. Would hold 3-4k rpms

My 6.2 4x4 got 12 doing the same thing but never got above 3k rpms, both hand calculated

    Yesterday in a 2500 with 6.6gas got 12.5 pulling 10k.

Moral of the story is smaller engines are less efficient since they are stressed and work harder.

Also, dont trust your dash mpg as they are not always accurate.

If I look at low MPG while driving a truck, it just seems more manly than getting 384zillion mpg in a Subaru.

Man up and pay the gas bill.
