To me the ultimate prize of duck hunting comes in the form of the hunt itself when everything comes together and you and your hunting partner shoot limits alternating shots and the birds continue to arrive a few at a time that combined with a good dog to fetch them up!

    Haha, no.

The soccer/sushi thing was intended as a backhand insult but I didn't mean for it to point to 2thDoc...but it's even funnier that it does...bwahahaha. Thanks for bringing that up.

    Don't hate, Turbo. His buddy ain't a moron; he's a smart, good-looking, soon-to-be avid deer hunter.

It used to be a miner Black duck (or really any miner duck) was top of the list. But now I'm most looking forward to my daughter's first. I don't think anything will compare.

I’m surprised to see nobody has mentioned their dogs last duck. Absolutely it comes with a great deal of sadness but I was blessed enough to shoot a wild Mallard in a spot a Mallard hadn’t been seen in years for my dogs last. Mojo brought the duck back and he was in perfect condition. He gave all he had that last week and he loved every minute of it. Yes I’m absolutely looking forward to my son and daughter’s first ducks, if they want to go, but Mojo was the first dog I had that loved retrieving birds and was great at it.

Here is the mount I had made with most of the ducks from the last week

Please direct all duck hunting related questions to Sportin. He seems to have "it".

Last birds of that morning sky high pair mallards. Yelled at em circled 3-4 times and they tried to land 100 yards away. Rapid quacks and they picked up and flew to the call. Despite what my brother says i shot both. Mr and Mrs both miner banded 4 years apart and Drake had been banded months before somewhere in northern sask. So they didn't pair up in kingsville. There's considerable distance between southern Ontario and northern Saskatchewan.
