    Default IOP?

Taking a trip with the family to Isle of Palms. I’ll probably stick in a rod or 2. Are there any places to fish other than the beach?

I would quietly sheep fish around the pylons at the marina until I was told I couldn’t.

I’ll have my 6 year old with me. Hopefully I’ll get a pass with him.

You could also ride over to the waterfront park in Mt. Pleasant and fish off the pier there. It's right next to the Ravenel Bridge. There have been some nice sheeps caught there. Flounder and spottails are a possibility too.

I don't encourage fishing around a marina or boat launch. If you pop your line, the lost line might wipe out somebody's lower unit seal.

Sneak onto wild dunes and fish the bridge behind IOP marina.

If I had to listen to Tom talk AND shark fish at the same time, I think I’d rather sit out in the sun and let my nephew take a whiffle ball bat to my head for 4 hours.

It’s because that’s the best they can hope for on a regular basis. Nobody pays for a whiting guide

If they knew how good whiting tasted, they would.

If you can get in WD fish the golf course ponds early or late. Rent a kayak from marina and go fish in front of long dock right across from marina where they’re building a house. You’ll see it. Very overlooked spot. Then go up the creek and fish around that bridge and just above it. You can catch flounder on he N end of IOP at the inlet on a Carolina rig from he beach. Been doing it 30 years. Normally not many people there. Fish around rocks on SI at Dewees.
