    Default Crop Spraying Drone

You guys that farm a lot are already aware of this I'm sure, but I was talking to one of my contractors yesterday and he was telling me they sprayed all their crops last year with a drone. Said the technology was awesome. All their fields were programmed into the gps and the drone would follow the correct path. The link below is not necessarily the one they used, but one that came up when I did a google search. He said it's the way of the future. Pretty cool in my book.

They have drone technology out now that will spray individual weeds - instead of an entire field.
    It’s pretty impressive

I looked into it hard earlier this year and for certain applications, it would help, however, the majority of what I was looking at it for it wasn't cost-effective. The drone technology is ever increasing and evolving. I use a drone on almost a weekly basis for work and it makes things a lot easier and accurate.

I will say that the size of the drones needed to spray crop fields is going to require a serious financial investment as well as a lot more certification and training than your typical consumer/prosumer drone currently on the market today. I have a feeling that drones are going to get more regulated than they currently are and these larger drones capable of spraying herbicides and pesticides is a whole other can of worms.

In Ohio there is a guy that will come out and find your deer for you that a poor placed arrow or bullet didnt kill him immediately using a thermal drone. He was working on expanding his business to other states.

As I understand it, there's a drone operator in the Columbia area that is cost-effective. I've seen some of the video and it's pretty amazing.

PP&WS on this site does crop and forestry spraying with a drone among other spraying tools. Maybe he will chime in as it is very impressive.
