    Default South Africa

    I got here two days ago, I brought my wife, 10 year old son, and 6 year old daughter (left my 3 year old daughter with my in laws). Wife and daughter have been going to town and hanging out with the owners wife and kids who are the same age.

    My son and I have been hunting.

    Day 1:

    My son shot well, 50 yards, through a tight window, off the truck, chest shot, died where he shot it.

    Day 2:

    Started with my bucket list. 40” with good drops.

    Road around a huge property for 4 hours trying to find a good kudu. Wind kept them in the thick stuff. Came across this first. My son was aiming at the shoulder, pig bolted when he shot, through the neck, out the forehead.

    Came around a corner with about an hour of light left, and found a good old Kudu. He finally gave me a shot off the truck about 120 yards out. He didn’t move much.

    Giraffe tomorrow, might let my son shoot another plains game animal, will shoot some birds (Guinea fowl, Franklin, dove), head to Cape Town later in the week and might book a trip to catch tuna.

    How was getting that suppressor into RSA? Was there any extra red tape/paperwork or was it the same as the rifle?
