Clemson University says TikTok will no longer be accessible through the campus network

CLEMSON, S.C. —
Clemson University has announced TikTok will no longer be accessible through the campus network.

The change went into effect Monday and affects both wired and Eduroam Wi-Fi.

Faculty, staff, students and visitors with personal devices are still able to access the application on their private carrier data networks.

"This step allows the University to protect institutional resources and information while safeguarding the privacy of a wide variety of devices connected to the Clemson network." the university said in an email to staff and students.

The university says it will continue to monitor updates related to this app and provide updates as needed.
