About right, or too light?
I have a Shakespeare Ugly Stik 10 wt fly rod that a friend gave me. Would like to use it for maybe jack crevalle (think it's a little heavy for redfish...) after I put an Okuma reel on it.
Thoughts?

10 wt is fine. I'd be pretty frustrated trying to cast a 10wt ugly stick. So much weight in the tip it is a very innefficient blank for flycasting. I've got a 10wt rod you are more than welcome to use. It hasn't gotten near enough use and has a lifetime gty. I can't see me using it until I go back to Islamorada next summer.
