Is anything happening w/the fish down there yet? Looks like we are not going to be able to make our annual April/May trip down there this year due to some children not being up to par in their school work. I may try to zip down there for a weekend when the bite turns on. What is the fishing like in mid June. The kids get out of school June 9 so I was thinking of shooting for the week after that.

What's up Shelben?? I haven't been in a week or so, but I have heard of some good sized fish being caught. I don't think the #'s are big yet, but should be improving as it warms up. Mid June can be pretty good and the way things are going so far it may just be the right time.
I on the other hand have to get all my fishing done between now and then. Baby is due in mid June..

Thanks for the update. Things are running a little behind schedule up here as well. Spanish and bonito still haven't shown up yet. Congrats on the baby.

we are catching a few stripers. the average catch now 1 or 2 a day. the average weights 10 to 15 pounders. plenty of big blue cats coming in. the largest ones this year 59 and 61 pound blue and a 49 pound flathead.
