Wounded Warrior/Mobility Impaired Hunt is slated for Nov. 4th. That’s all I know as of now.

I was told by Donna stander hunts were cancelled due to low deer numbers. I laughed.

It would not surprise me to never see another dog/stander hunt at the site.

Why even go through application ordeal if they know they will cancel in advance?

Don’t the dog men shoot most of the deer?

I’ve only been once as a stander, but i put two on the wall and passed on another. Drew a hot stand for sure.

Watching this thread as my property directly backs up to the SRS in the Snelling area.

The SRS is a government owned and operated site. Do ya'll really expect the hunts to be operated in a practical and efficient manner. The "good ole boys" that used to manage these hunts are retired and have been replaced (for the most part) with people that have no knowledge or interest in operating a deer management program. One thing that I can promise you.....someone is hunting the place!
