    Are they catching any at Pack's yet? Reports I have heard are not good.

    yes, they are catching rockfish at packs. the average catch is one or two stripers per boat a day. the average weight 10 to 12 pounds. i weighed a 16 pounder yesterday. they are also catching more big catfish than ever. the bigest one yet was a 60 pound blue. probally have weighed 20 or more thirty pounders. all blue cats with just a few flatheads coming end. we are expecting a huge catch this weekend...

    yea, looking to be a great weekend. and yes we have plenty of live herring.. plenty mirror, scott just took 4 dozen to the combe river. not sure of the corect spelling of the river.

    Glad to here that you all are getting into them. JP, sorry about backing out on the trip a while back but had to replace a rotten band board on the house. Hope that I can slip down there for a weekend sometime and do some fishing. I have been slammed for the past few weeks trying to get my deck built but this warm weather is driving me crazy.

    i hope you can make the drive down soon. the spring run is starting now. we are going to be about four weeks earlier this year. a warm winter has everything cranking early.the big cats are in three foot of water now.
