Doesn't seem likely it was the Congaree because the site is for sturgeon fishing in British Columbia.

My dad used to live in Washington, and every trip I used to make to see him, we would go catch those things. I will see if I can pull up some pics from when we used to go. If you have never been it is really worth it. I remember I went one year and caught one that measured 7'-1", do not know how much it weighed we released all the fish we caught, but anyway the guide got on its back and tried to ride it!

We fished the Combahee for sturgeon back in the 60's and 70's. The last year we could legally fish, we caught one that was over 350 lbs. with around 50 lbs. of roe.

I don't know what the differences are but I've heard that sturgeon from the Pacific Drainage average bigger than those from the Atlantic Drainage. But I ain't no sturgeon expert. <confused>

    Quack Daddy,
What did y'all use for bait? Seems I saw something once where the guys baited with a head of cabbage or lettuce? Been a long time ago so I'm not sure I remember right.
