Total surprise. Fly in through Puerto Rico and pick up flights on island hopper planes. We gambled and flew for $99 into PR round trip then paid I think $150 to RT out of Guadaloupe. I think we spent $1500 total between hotel, meals, fishing charter, and flights.
    How’s the fishing?

Nicaragua is great when the government is stable.

You need to look around some and find a different search tool. Myrtle beach to Orlando is $204 and Orlando to San Jose was $374. If you let the search tool do it you’re screwed.

That’s also just plugging in two dates and grabbing the first flight I could find. Google
Flights is better than most places to use as a reference, but you have to shop Cae, chs, sav, myr, and augusta if you wanna know the best around

It’s not that much to go the day after Christmas

Panama was great. The biggest draw for me was how Americanized it was... I didn't have to exchange money, and most people spoke English enough to conversate.

Puerto Vallarta was probably the 2nd nicest place I've been. I've never seen city streets so clean, and never felt like I was I was in Mexico. The fishing was dirt cheap as well to go chase Black Marlin..

I've been to a some of those third world countries y'all are typing about, and not in the cool places, that has swayed my opinion of them. So for positivity sakes, I won't type about them.

A day's charter was $600. We loaded the coolers with dolphin and wahoo. Then we deep dropped for snows and queen snapper. One of our first fish we had a ~600 lb blue crash beside us. We scrambled to get a big bait out to her and couldnt raise her again.

I'm a ways ahead of you. I haven't been able to work out the right flight times going that direction.

We are also wanting to fly into Liberia.

We sifted through all the popular destinations for our honeymoon and settled on Punta Cana. We haven't gone yet but snagged a week at an adult only all inclusive with a private pool for 4500. Local fishing looks pretty cheap and its supposedly full of white marlin
