Roaches a plenty. A nastier place I've never eaten. Been there once and less than once is enough for anybody. The only other thing that is more overblown than the Beacon is every star wars movie ever. That place is awful.

Let's keep in mind they are running down the Spartanburg Peddler and NOT the one in Greenville. The one in Greenville is awesome.

Reality is that Greenville is probably keeping the rest of the State's economy alive. The cost is steep though. Decades ago, Greenville's growth was pretty well thought out by smart people who wanted to live and raise families there. The money paved right over all of the good intentions though...

I'll also add, if you never went to Jerry's truckstop for breakfast after shooting ducks on the upper lake, you were not around for ducks in SC.

You may be right as I have been there in a while surprised it is still there. Used to eat there everytime i had to work at the block ice plant up the street. Nothing in the Beacon would hurt you after beng in the ice plant all day. I'll still try it next time in Sparkle City
