Nothing about this looks simpler than a climber or lock on.

I’ll agree it is not simpler than a climber, and not as comfortable. But if you hunt any big buck state you’ll quickly realize straight trees are a rarity. We are spoiled with pines in the Carolinas. Add in the fact you need to be right here with a bow and the problem compounds. To me a saddle will fill the same void as a ground blind, I can set up practically anywhere. Except I won’t have to spend half an hour clipping cedar branches to make my ground bling look like a brush pile if I can just hop up a tree with the saddle. I don’t even bother taking a climber on OOS bow hunts anymore. It takes up too much space in the truck for something that will work 1% of the time.
It’s just a tool. Most men like to have a garage full. I don’t know what the fuss is about.
Anybody hunt with a recurve out of these?
I know a lot of guys that do and I will be one of them this fall.
A 68” recurve at that, lol
From the picture above I am having a hard time envisioning how one would draw a bow and not get hung up.

Not drawing a bow from one of these contraptions is the best way to keep from dying.
I don't need my name in the marquee lights....
A ring of tree steps.
Use one stick to climb then repel like an arborist. It is the cat's meow everyone should do it except the box sitters.
