    28” Benelli SBEII

On a separate note...you can have but don’t need a “do it all” shotgun. It’s like a do it all boat...we all need 3-4 at least. Shotguns are much more affordable than boats for specific applications.

I’d buy a 28” for the wingshooting. Maybe buy a cheap second hand short barrel for turkeys.

I have a 30in a400 without the extended choke and I wish I wouldve went with the 26in with me trucking through the swamp and briars,it grows hands everywhere I go and makes you want to throw that sumbitch.

This is silly. What self respecting redneck wants one gun?

If at this point you are going to have only one shotgun, I’d get a 28” barrel, and then find a 20”(+/-) barrel with a cantilever scope mount and screw-in chokes for turkey and deer.

Wtf are y'all talking about you needing a short barrel for turkeys? I've never hunted turkeys with anything less than a 28" and have no issues you speak of. If the damn bird pops up to your right, left, it doesn't matter if you have a 3" barrel you can't move anyway! You can only move your gun when the bird is behind something or turns around strutting or he'll see you. 2" is like 2'.....said no real turkey hunter ever.

    26".

I was 47/50 clays the other week with a 26" barrel. I'm pretty damn sure a 28" wouldn't have made any difference.

Buy the longest barrel you can get. The best shooters in the world chose longer barrels. There is a reason for that.

Fast is not your friend in wingshooting.

30 inches for an auto. 32 inches for an over/under.

Try to stay on point. Your truck cant hold
the guns I own. This may be a gift
for a young man upgrading what he currently
    uses.

We all started out with looking to buy one gun, one rod, one bow, one stand....
    That's how it begins.

This is my thinking right now. I went into three stores and all they have are the SBE3
I hear there were issues with the SBE3 shooting high and to the left? Don't know all the facts
but there are several forums and threads around about the known issue.

    28” or 30” is what I’d go with. 28” barrel has a smoother swing then a 26”.

28” barrel will kill anything you point it at
