Had some good times in my ‘74 Land Cruiser. Kick myself on the regular for selling it.
I had a 77 Bronco built in December of 76, I loved that thing. I would like e to have another one, but that International is just bigger.
I like that Rover that Chessbay just dropped a diesel in also.. for smaller ride that thing is pretty.

This one, but he's done a bunch of work on it over the years

Highstrung from the top rope with the Travelall!
JAB I remember that DU Suburban sitting out on the front corner of Jim Hudson’s lot. My dad and I had similar conversations but I also knew there wasn’t a snowballs chance he was buying a camo truck even if it did come with a boat. If I remember they wanted about $30K for that thing and a regular one with all the bells and whistles was under $20k.
For me it was the Jeep Scrambler.

Can't post pics. You all missed the boat with the Bad Ass Ford. Restoration is almost complete according to the Company that bought it. You could have owned it cheap

My ol' man had pretty good taste in vehicles. He sold this Land Cruiser to order the '79 Chevy from Sherwood Chevrolet in Simpsonville. Always said the LC was the best 4wd vehicle he ever owned. That Chevrolet was manual transmission with a granny gear and would climb a tree if it could hang on.
I'd give damn near anything to have either of these back....

I don't need my name in the marquee lights....
Your Old Man was a badass in case nobody ever told you...
And if they did, it bears repeating...
Thanks, JAB. I find myself still trying to make decisions like he would - and he's been gone over 12 years now.
Interesting tidbit of the gutpunch variety: That picture was taken the day we were moving into Clemson our freshman year. He had a mattress store and used that truck for deliveries. Had a friend of mine that was still in high school do his delivering on days I couldn't. He ran it into the back of a school bus. Totaled. Miss the hell out of that truck.

Bought this rig while in HS with grass cutting monies. Put a motor in it and added the winch and bumper. I drive it on the weekends now on occasion but it needs some work to be back in her natural state like in this photo

What is your project truck?[/QUOTE]
My Grandpa Ray in Hagood had a baby blue one like this but 2 wheel drive. My cousin was talking about it when I posted about doing ours. My dad and other grandpa had 2 old Landrovers with the big front hitches them when I was younger too. I wish we still had those but they sold them to a group of missionaries from the Baptist Association years ago that flew them somewhere.
