    Default Vaucluse, SC

I had the pleasure of traveling thru the what appeared to be a "ghost town" of Vaucluse this morning.
Pretty neat place that screamed of history and the old textile way of life.
Then I went up the road a short piece for a meeting and saw the "shooting preserve" know as Sage Valley.
Damn what a place. My host told me he thought the Club was a one time fee of $250k and then $150k per year dues....

I learned all about Mr Wyatt today. Interesting to say the least.
Made a fortune building Walmarts. Augusta National turned him down because of a slip up on his application and he said,
"Fuck You", watch what I will build right down the road from you. I dig that

I can't forget that place. I was there on 9/11 doing HVAC install in the clubhouse. It's a beautiful place for sure.

Unfortunately, Oakland doesn’t have him anymore either.

That’s pretty close to right. Basically, word got out that he wanted in to ANGC, they found out and said no thanks. He spent $32 or 38M(can’t remember exact figures) to buy and build that property.

He has been bankrupt before, Walmart fired him a few times, but he made a lot of $$ in the process.

The old manager of the hunt club, before they did the cut backs, was a member of this site.

yep, I was with some of his folks today and got the low down. On his ANGC application he simply stated that he had close ties
to the nations largest general contractors and stated that if Augusta National ever needed any construction, he if a member could save them huge.
They took that all wrong and said , "declined".
Ol boy went right down the road and built Sage Valley Golf Club and the hunt property for corporate executives as retreats, etc
    Bad Ass is an understatement

The gun shooting range at Sage Valley is really cool.
