Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
I saw that last night. If the ducks start glowing in the dark, it opens up all sorts of possibilities...
agreed. need to figure out which pump to use. can pump straight from mill creek or from the well. i wonder which one has more uranium?
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
and when they say the leak was "very localized", what exactly do they mean?

I am on another forum and had seen guys talk about hunting near a nuclear plant like this and they started to post pictures of ducks with 3 legs (all 3 were banded) and some with nails like a wood duck but were not woodies!
I want that laid back DHEC Spokesman as my inspector from now on.
Between Westinghouse and Laidlaw we're pretty screwed.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Meanwhile coal plants spill fly ash with uranium and thorium concentrations without the first news article or publicity of an incident.
True, but if you drink California wine post Fukishima, you are pissing Caesium-137 yourself...
When I did nuclear work at the shipyard, most deer hunters or people who ate a lot of deer meat would set off the alarm of the automated scanner when exiting a contamination controlled area. Deer meat eaters had enough Cesium 137 in their system to trip the alarm. We were told it is naturally occurring and the deer get a lot of it from eating acorns.
