    Default 30-30 scope suggestions

Looking for a decent scope to put on my Marlin. Will be a 100yds or less gun, mostly used from a climber. Any of you fellas have any good suggestions/experiences with such a thing? Thanks for any and all help.

I would put a Nikon Monarch on it or something in that range. Hell a bushnell banner s fine. My son is shooting my 30-30 I got when I was 10 and it still has the used Simmons scope my dad put on it 31 years ago. He killed deer with it last year just fine. I climbed for 20 years with it and I was damn near impossible to knock off.

I’ve got a fixed 4x Leupold on my .35 Marlin. Works great, stupid simple and built tough. They made them with the heavy duplex. I’ve got one of those on a slug gun, and it works well in the woods at low light.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I’be got a Leupold VX-3i 1.5-5x20 looking for a new home that would be perfect. It would be on my 30-30 except I wanted higher power for longer shots where I hunt.

If you're talking to me, thanks, but no thanks. Have more 3x9x40's than I need now.
