    Default Lexington area Transmission shop

Anybody got a recommendation for someone local that does true rebuilds? Got a 4r70w I’d like to go ahead and get redone, but I know when it’s something other then a 4l60/4l80 it’s a whole new game.

I’ve heard good things about LD Walker but looking for others to compare to

SanteeSwamper can multitask , rebuilding transmissions and eliminate the rattlesnake population is like , the Pope wearing white every day without spilling spaghetti sauce on it. No problem.

LD walker has been around a while and is good people. Sheppards has always worked on mine until I met SanteeSwamper. It’s worrh the drive to Orangeburge and he is legit. Rebuilt my Jeeps Transmission and fixed an issue with a motor swamp in the same Jeep while he had it. I would at least reach out to SanteeSwamper first and see his thoughts

    Call Micah (SanteeSwamper)
PM me if you need his number, KRT could probably give you a name that you could trust also.

Was gonna check with KRT too, I was pretty sure he didn’t do rebuilds in house so I figured I’d kill 2 birds with one stone and ask here

I too think Steve Walker in South Congaree is good people. Not sure he’ll ever be what his father was but today’s transmissions are far more complex than a turbo 350/400

Robbie at Shepherds in West Cola is worth a visit.

Speaking of complex transmissions. When I went to Wyoming back n the Spring we rented a new Expedition. That thing was a 10 speed automatic. I have to admit, with that 3.7 turbo and 10 speed trans she was stout.
    More fuel = more boost!!
