    Default Bottom Fish

Pretty sure this is a scamp... but it was vented and released.... into the grease

Yes it is. We caught a few of those earlier this week. Plus all the ARS you could want. I can’t believe the season is still closed. We couldn’t get a bait to the bottom for them.

Yeah, no shit. Went last Monday and caught about 15 nice ARS.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

We caught this just outside the jetties so it seemed fairly rare in 40’. Chunk mullet on the bottom

There’s grouper on most life bottom. Most people don’t know how to fish for them

Tell tale sign a fish is caught in shallow..... swim bladders never protrude on fish caught deeper than 50ft.

You honestly should think about calling DNR and asking about records and such, seeing how you likely caught the only scamp ever caught inside 50ft.

I grew up around commercial grouper/snapper boats. The fellas practically raised me. They have numbers in one spot they call it the “lighthouse hole”. They caught 100s of lbs of grouper from that spot. Why do you think it was called lighthouse hole? You could see the Morris island lighthouse from it.

There was dolphin caught in 45’ of water this weekend, and 60’ some were caught. But that’s not very surprising. The flyers are real close to the beach right now

Yeah, a scamp in 40' would be pretty damn rare if you ask me. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a gag.

    Hence my sarcasm.

    Nice fish Pride.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
