Default Dog stands for Timber ....

I have seen a few pics over the years of guys hunting the timber with dogs on stands that look like deer stand climber bottoms . Is that what they are using or does somebody make one ? Im looking for one that attaches to the tree .

I have an old loc-on stand with the seat removed. Added a piece of plywood covered with outdoor carpet to the platform. Much easier to wrap a chain around a tree instead of fumbling with pins or bolts in the dark in my opinion.

I have a lock-on that I use in the timber. It’s big and heavy but I like to be able sit on it while my dog is on it also.

I use ratchet straps. Can you send me a pic of how you use the chain?

I am interested in the floats that strap to the tree. That way if you shoes to set up in buck brush you don’t have to have a tree.

Don't have any pics on my phone but 1 link is welded on one side of the stand. Other side has a U shaped piece of metal that secures the chain. It appears all factory best I can remember as I didn't modify that portion of the stand.

I use a bottom off a climber. Hell, the climber brand new didn’t cost much to begin with, but the platform is perfect because it folds flat. Just zip tie an indoor/outdoor doormat to it and roll on with it.

Hell if Mother nature keeps it up you won't need a stand on the timber in Arkansas! I'd look at the old Avery stands the ones that were $9.99 awhile back
