Default Youth Soccer Team Trapped in Cave in Thiland

Ten days now....and divers just found the whole team alive three miles into the seasonally flooded cave. I think they kept retreating further in the get away from rising waters.
That in itself is amazing. The search drivers had to dig out a narrow passage in order to fit the dive tanks through.

Next step....get each boy and the coach healthy and trained enough to cave dive back up.

Truly a lot of miracles taking place.

Imagine living in darkness for 10 days. Those miners in, South America(?), were trapped for sixty-something days. I would never turn the lights off again.

    Here is the latest.
One diver died trying to deliver oxygen tanks.
Kids can't swim because they are too weak and it is a five hour trek out.
    Good Q and A article:

It's been described as the "Mt. Everest" of cave dives. Unless they can get oxygen in there, no way those boys survive until October.

Hopefully they can pump enough water out to make the dive efforts less dangerous. Every single person who is working on the rescue efforts is a hero.

I’ve been following this link all morning. I keep updating it. Seems two boys have left for the hospital and four more are about to walk out of the cave. As of 8:29 AM.

Half of the soccer team trapped inside a flooded Thai cave have now been brought out after divers executed a carefully constructed rescue mission.

Six boys in total have been rescued so far as divers continue efforts to get the remaining six players and their soccer coach out. The condition of one of the first two boys rescued is 'causing concern', according to a senior health chief.

It's thought the starved and exhausted kids are currently being transported to hospital in a military helicopter. They were all treated at the cave's entrance before an ambulance drove them to a helicopter on standby.

Thirty-five emergency doctors are waiting at Chiang Rai Prachanukroh hospital 35miles away.

Only six of the stranded school boys will be evacuated tonight, the Thai Public Broadcast Service announced this evening.

It reported: ‘Only six of the boys will be taken out tonight.’

The six other youngsters – and their coach – will remain underground tonight and be rescued tomorrow, the state-funded news agency said.
