Go bigger name and recoup your resale when you decide to go 28 - 30. Regulator or Southport. While my personal dollars have not been spent on a boat in that size the cost spent on a bit higher tier boat seems to be worth it when venturing into the 25'+ range.

What do you want to do with it? I was on a 251 this weekend. It’s was plush, but confused about what it wants to be.

I fish on a 25 Sea Hunt regularly and its a good riding boat but I prefer the layout of the open style sportsman as far as bilge access and transom layout for fishing. I haven't been on a 25 sportsman other than looking around on one at the dealer.

If you want to ride around the lake/inshore both will work. If it was my money id be looking for something with a 24 degree deadrise at the transom.

    Scout is plus 35K.

    Lake, Georgetown, Keys, rarely offshore.

With those uses in mind which one of the two are built to support the Yamaha 425?!?! You can be the first on here to buy one and let us know if it's worth the weight...

    Sell him one of yours......
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

    Best question so far.

Are you planning to regularly run 60 miles off, or are you needing a family vessel for drinking beers and yum-yum activities?

Get a 26 foot bay boat. That 267 is big enough to keep the women happy and handle anything the keys give you that you would want to go out in.

22 ain’t bad and more stable on a drift. But cutting through the water doing 60 is nice too.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

You know whats up. At the end of the day 25ft is 25ft no matter how much deadrise it has. I would substitute less deadrise for more flexibility anyday on a 25ft boat. Lets face it if it is more than 3-4 @ 8 sec your ass doesn't really need to be out there.

We did get a 23 Sportsman three years ago. Want to do the Abacos next year. Keys again this July. Spend the most time on Lake Marion.

I am in the market for a mid-priced boat. Wife is buying again.
