    Interview???

Regardless, I owned all of 2LC's albums.

They just don't make stuff like that, NWA, or anything else that rivaled how straight-up hardcore and controversial that stuff was in the era.

Of course, having said that, I won't be introducing my kid to that shit anytime soon, either...

I remember how controversial it was, album cover and lyrics. Thats almost mainstream stuff now.

They were the pioneers of their style.

I will never forget them because...

I borrowed a 2 Live Crew cassette tape from one of my friends at school to make a copy of it. Brought it home and was playing it loud in my room before my Dad got home...or so I thought. He busted in my room and asked What the hell I was listening to?, proceeded to eject the tape and pull every last piece of the tape out and destroyed it. Told me if I ever brought trash like that in his house again I would be living outside with the dog. On top of the ass chewing he gave me I still had to go tell my buddy at school that his tape was destroyed.

Mudflat is correct...that is almost mainstream stuff these days.

When I was a kid, my cousin David in WV had 2 Live Crew tapes. When I'd stay with him in the summertime, I'd listen on his headphones everynight so my Aunt and Uncle didn't hear. Listening to that stuff at 10-12 years old helped mold who I am today......BWHAHAHAHHAHAA.

I played some of their music to some 20 year old co-workers and they were shocked that kind of music was actually made back then. It's pretty hard core.

Hah. I was 15 or 16 and had borrowed my mom's sweet ass cutlass supreme, and had been riding around blasting a 2Live tape, but then forgot about it. Cue to the next day, I got in the car with her and my sister, and she put the tape in on play. She proceeded to chew my ass, and in one fluid motion she ejected the tape and threw it out of the window. My sister still talks about it.
