Looks like I might be going for a graduation next May. Turkey season is in then and non resident licenses are reasonable. Anybody got any info or hints they might be willing to share?

I lived about an hour away on the border of VT for a few years. There are definitely turkeys around and plenty of public / accessible land, but I'm not specifically familiar with that area. My experience when I moved there is that the game wardens are incredibly friendly and willing to share information to help out visitors / people new to the area. I would give them a call. Also, should be good smallmouth fishing in the lakes around that time.
A guy I used to hunt Eiders with in Massachusetts, guides for turkeys now in MA. He got Lyme disease several years ago from a tick while Turkey hunting. Be very particular about repelling ticks. They are absolutely terrible in that region.
