Read an article about it this morning. First tweet was spot on. But then he went downhill quickly talking about it being a celebration of a sin.

This was a quote from his first tweet. I guess he proved his own point.

tactics of some in the LGBTQ movement toward dissent is an existential threat to freedom of expression

Russell Berger has been with CFHQ since 2009 and has never hidden his Christianity or his opinion. Where he screwed up here was speaking AS a spokesman for CrossFit and not as Russell Berger private citizen. CrossFit and Glassman never had a problem with him offering counseling outside of abortion clinics or professing his faith for almost 10 years. This, to my knowledge, was the first time he ever tagged CrossFit in one of his religious post and the blow back from the far left was swift and brutal. Russell is a good man and admitted he messed up bringing CrossFit into it. He's owned it 100%. Hate to see him go out like this.

I can't see where they really had a choice. You could make a stand and martyr your business, but that would hurt a lot of good people for very little reward...

They didn't. Russell admitted he put them in a bad position and holds no ill will toward CrossFit or Glassman. The whole thing blew up into way more than it ever should have and the last 24 hours has been nuts.

Why does an exercise regimen need a spokesperson?

One Trump tweet would get him his job back and double the membership.

If a crossfitter crossfits and no one is there to post it on instagram did he/she really crossfit?

Russell was actually part of their legal team and spoke on behalf of CF on legal matters.

    On behalf of crossfit?

This collection of physical movements and vocal declaratives has self awareness and enough intellect to hire a legal team?

Yes indeed. Think scientology only with more hair product and spray tanner.

I'm thinking Skynet and instabook had a threesome with Richard Simmons and now we're all fucked.

In a perfect world you could put more money in your pocket by breaking from CrossFit™? and calling your place Motivus Clean and Jerk Based Fitness, LLC.

But, this ain’t a perfect world and your plebes wouldn’t be able to tell the world they #CrossFit so they would leave.

10 years ago it would have never made the news.
"You are Citadel Men, you have no pension for failure, you wear the Ring, you never let a friend down, you will be good fathers, husbands, and leaders in the armed forces and industry, you are strong in heart, body, and mind. You protect such things as Honor and Fidelity. Your virtues matter not only in wealth, but in the richness of family, you are the last of the knights."
    - late President Ronald Reagan
