Go to grocery store. Go to pickle isle and get some talk of Texas or wickles brand. Refrigerate then eat.
I do that now. wanting to make my own. I have a lot of okra in the ground.
Someone on here brought some to a ff workday. They were a close tie to best I've ever had. Can't remember who made them. Lots of garlic cloves and had maybe two or three peppers in there.
Mrs. Hane's hot pickled okra made in South Carolina. Bought 3 cases this week. Try some and thank me later.

Quick way to pickle anything
This is for a quart and the way we do it.
Quart Jar
Tablespoon Salt
Tablespoon or so of Minced Garlic ( take your cloves and mince)
Pack Jar
Boil Vinegar
Pour in
Lid on jar
Flip jar to seal, once sealed lid shouldn’t pop.
We do jalapeños,green tomatoes, okra, pickles etc like this. Longer they sit the better they get. You can throw a couple jalapeños in there with the okra for some heat if you like.

Quail eggs are made for pickling.
A night of cold beer and quail eggs makes EPIC dutch ovens the next night when you curl up beside your old lady for bed time.

I also seen pickled okra in what looked to be a gallon size jar at that evil Mart store. I havent tried it yet but the price couldn't be touched for the amount of okra in that jar. I keep forgetting to buy it when I go back.

pickled okra started giving me the shits about 4 years ago (all pickled okra, not just mine. haha) , so i havent made any in a while.... last batch i made was about 50 jars, and i think i gave 40 of those away... its been long enough that i would have to look at my recipe to remember the exact proportions of the ingredients. but its vinegar, salt, garlic, peppers to taste, fresh dill. similar to what Ricky posted above.
i made a post about it back in the day when i was really cranking it out. somebody that can use the search function better than me can probably dig it back up.
