    Default Gas grill troubleshooting?

Working on my gas grill. It is not getting hot enough, ~350. Cleaned the burners and have swapped regulator (2 that I have had) back and forth same result.
My question is, when I am slowly turning on the gas from the bottle to the grill I hear a click in both regulators. Are they faulty and restricting flow?

I had a similar issue one time. I had to re-set the regulator. My grill manual had steps on how to do this.
You could probably google it up.
I have since switched to charcoal.

    Default Gas grill troubleshooting?

Working with a “new” propane tank now. The old one had same results. I have followed steps to reset regulator but it just ain’t getting hot. I may go buy a new regulator to see if that does it. You would think it wouldn’t be that difficult to fix seeing as it is a pretty simple system.....

Edit: I have a charcoal grill too, but that doesnt help me fix my gas one.

I was having the same problem. I bought a new Weber and now it gets so hot I have to wear welders gear to cook filets.

bang on the regulator a few times.

then, unhook it and push the little ball thingie manually on your hose.

    you live near salt?

lastly...and dont try this in front of fire....turn the tank ON and hook the hose up quickly. it will work better after that.

    ask me how I know....

I had a regulator that had a ball check valve in it. I can't remember the details on what it was doing exactly, but it would be a bitch to get lit. I was able to take apart the end of the regulator, where it attaches to the tank, and remove the ball and spring.

Yeah I am very close to salt water...

I have been messing with it off and on this afternoon cleaning burners, regulators, shooting air through lines etc. I have managed to get it from 350 up to about 425 but it still aint right.

I got a new tank this afternoon also and one difference that I can tell between the two is my old one (that is full) clicks like something is engaging/disengaging in the valve on the tank and the new one does not make this noise at all. The one that DOES make the noise seems fine on my gas burner/cooker. Either way, the new tank that doesnt click didn’t get me straight. The hardware store nearby did not have the right regulator set up I needed (bought one anyways and just made it worse) so I am going to try to find one tomorrow somewhere.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
