Can someone tell me if it's common practice to not cover tilt and trim motors under warranty?

NORMAL WEAR AND DETERIORATION
Engine components which wear out at expected intervals during the regular service
span of an engine do not constitute a defect, but are merely a result of the engine’s
normal life span. This normal wear is not covered by the warranty.
During routine operation of the outboard motor, certain components will experience
normal wear and deterioration, including but not limited to, the following: filters,
fuses, spark plugs, propellers, propeller bushings, zinc anodes, timing belts, water
pump impellers, starter motor brushes, and trim motor brushes
How about seals that go bad and cause them to leak? That ain't got a damn thing to do with the brushes, am I right?
Jew right.
Just letting you know what I found on the interwebs for you in regards to your situation. That phone number I listed is 8-5 pacific time in case you need to jump on the horn and talk to someone in Commiefornia.

Gettin old is for pussies! AND MY NEW TRUE people say like Capt. Tom >>>>>>>>>/
"Wow, often imitated but never duplicated. No one can do it like the master. My hat is off to you DRDUCK!"
How old?
I’ve heard issues with the people who got the “gimme 6” warranty. Apparently first few years everything is covered and is a declining warranty as it ages. Last few are actually through another company and not Suzuki itself.
Thats the deal. Its 5 years old, so its in the last 3 years, which isnt through Suzuki, but an independent company. I simply told the rep that unless he wanted me to put their warranty on blast on every boating forum on the internet hed send me a new trim motor.......
