    Default 2018 Turkey Season

2018 was an interesting year. Our family moved to Jacksonville, FL back in the late summer as I started a new job, so that threw a curve ball to my hunting schedule. I had less time this year than most years to hunt, mainly weekends and a few days off here and there. We had little time in SC, and I had to learn a new lease in FL. Tried to make the most of it. Tagged out the first weekend in Florida, killed a bird in SC for the 9th straight year, and added Montana to the list of states in which I have killed a bird. Also hunted in GA and NE. Hunted with several old friends, some new ones, and got my 7 year old son his first turkey, a double bearded bird, which was the highlight of the season for sure! Thanks to a few SC Duckers on here for some great times this year and great info, esp out west. Congrats to all who had awesome seasons in the turkey woods and can’t wait to chase them again next season!

    Final Tally:

Witnessed my youngest take his first gobbler
Called in 13 for others or myself
    2 misses
    Completed a Third Grand Slam
Killed 3 of 4 species (Osceola, Eastern, Merriams)
Hunted 5 states, and added MT to the list

    Congrats on a great season!
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

Brad I received your 10th legion application but accidentally lit it on fire with a careless 100% handsfree cigarette. Please resubmit.
