    Congrats on a great season. That's a heck of a wide loop and a ton of birds.

    Hat or no, given a different set of priorities in life I'd surely trade 3 SC birds for that spring ride, circus, turkey parade etc.

    Thanks buddy. My wife gets a gold star, as we were dealing with the buying of a new house, sale of our house, offers, inspections, contracts, fixes, etc. All in addition to wrangling 2 young children. I received an offer on my house, countered, accepted their counter, and e-signed the docs while sitting next to a dead gobbler under a northern Texas cedar bush.

    I hated that I didn't get to play the game more in SC, but western trips come down to homework, connections and things falling into place. This particular one happened to work out. It's a shame that landscape cell phone pics never do justice to the terrain because we hunted some amazing places.

    Sitting in the Charlotte airport. Tired. I am excited to put my stuff away and know I’ll be fired up to pull it back out.

    New England was a ball. The birds were certainly past peak breeding, but a few have bred their last hen
