    He did not get the picnic basket. This feeder set up is the only thing I've found that is "bear proof."

    I do normally remove the winch handle because on another feeder they figured out that if they mess with it the feeder will drop. This was in a new location and I didn't worry with it for some reason.

    If anyone cares, the mechanism on the barrel is a drop feeder called the "ghost feeder." It has an actuator that slides open and drops the corn straight down. It makes a slight click when it opens and a slight clack when it closes. I like it better than a feeder with a spinner plate especially in this area that is pretty thick.
