    Default 2014 Ram 2500 manual

First of all this thing in 1st gear will pull a freight train out of ditch with out hesitation. G56 tranny clutch hasn’t held up well at all. 102k miles and this is the 3rd time it’s been replaced. After research it’s common that the stock clutch isn’t reliable. We deleted this rig and the clutch didn’t like the new found power and torque. The triple disc South Bend clutch kit will help alleviate that problem though.

    The monster G56 manual trans

The flywheel. Although I’ve seen worse, it has heat spots and glaze.

    Pressure Plate

    A possible solution

Not possible as the sb will hold as long as he can drive. It will drive like a button clutch either on or off

Basically it’s more heavy duty for extreme conditions. The actual clutch disc stock is a single unit where as South Bend has two and three disc, redesigned slave cyl, pressure plate, and flywheel.

Lemme know how it works Kevin. I’ve got a buddy with that same tranny that’s been having some clutch issues. If it does the job I’ll send him your way. He was bitchin about it a couple weeks ago and I mentioned you to him. Haven’t seen you to ask you about it since then.

Swamper, you put a bunch of those clutches in? They work as advertised?

I have done probably 20/30 in the nv5600 nv6000 g6 and zf units. Yeah they work really well and will hold as advertised. They made a name themselves in the 5.9s

    Good deal.

Kevin, I’ll call my buddy tomorrow and pass your contact info on to him.
