Default Older RR corn seed germination

I was going thru my shop and found 1/3 bag of RR field corn seed I had left over from planting a few years ago. Apparently I forgot I had it. I tested some in a wet paper towel/zip lock bag and the results are pictured below. I have already planted my corn this year but might do another field with what’s left of this bag. This had me wondering how long left over seed last and still retains decent germination. I’m not looking for production yields...just hobby farmer deer corn food plot yields.

5 years if kept in a freezer

But it's not really worth the risk
