Was able to get the girlfriend out this morning. Didn’t hear a bird, but had a hen pitch down and meander around for a bit before a tom came down. He followed right behind her and began to skirt around us. Had a dog run up on the decoy and lost sight of the birds. Figured the hunt was over but two minutes later we could see the white head moving through the trees. Strutted into 10 yards and she piled him up and finished off her tags.
