I got to where I wanted to bust my BGE to bits with a sledge hammer before I sold it. Grills grill, smokers smoke. One that does both does neither well IMO......

    Anybody used B&B oak charcoal?
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

And like BandedMallard said...take a look here. Lots of good info.

I would agree with about everything said. I'm not a lump snob, I don't really rush anything when I'm on my Egg so I let it all burn down good. I'll use brisquittes like a mofo cooking burgers. The only thing I get is more ash, I don't want a bunch of smoke on burgers or flavor it with smoke.. that's what fat is for.

I have used the Publix Greenwise Lump forever. It comes in 8.8 lb bags and is privately labeled Royal Oak.

I have a Weber at the river, a stainless gas grill at the house that rarely gets used, and an old syrup kettle for a fire pit at the house. 90% of what I grill at the house is over the kettle.
