Default D.C. To Lower Voting Age To 16

I can't wait to see how this is going to turn out. If they do that they need to let them buy and own guns, not to mention join the military and buy alcohol. High Strung's profits will soar.

Seriously, we need to go back to only letting property owners vote. They are the ones invested in this country. The rest are along for the ride. If you own a house, land or business you can vote. If you don't own anything of value then you ain't smart enough to vote. You're a leech on everyone else.

Well, the Dems got to make up for the illegals that Trump is shipping out, and the others that he is preventing from coming in.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is,
as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

That's exactly what they are trying to do but they better stick to the Millennials cause this new generation coming up are showing to be more conservative than we were. I don't know if they are learning it or they are just getting fed up with the wuzzy attitudes. Looking at history it seems the whole Leftist Socialist vs Conservative thing happens in cycles. The left has given us a PC ruling class. So when this new generation starts rebelling against authority that all generations go through they are gonna be tough to deal with. They'll be coming in with a strong conservative/libertarian attitude and the authority will be leftists. Times are gonna be rough, you think the 60's -70's Hippy Generation was rough, these folks will be totin iron not flowers. I just hope I'm alive to see it.

Isn't that covered in the US Constitution? Supreme court would shut that down in a heartbeat.

Since when did Washington start caring what the constitution says?

Not set by the constitution. It was the 26th amendment thereto, that lowered the voting age from 21 to 18 for federal elections. States can set the age for state and local elections (can go even lower than 18). Viet Nam- era

That's about as dumb as letting women vote.

While they are at it, they should go ahead and enlist them once they cast their ballot...

Don't kid yourself. They will be taught to look for D's and key words such as "Democrat" and they will be taught how to vote a straight Democrat ticket.
