Man says Starbucks denied him access to bathroom because he's black
TORRENCE, Calif. — While the nation's attention was riveted on Philadelphia Monday, after Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson apologized for an incident last week in which two black men were arrested while waiting for a friend, another video has recently surfaced in California.
This one shows a Starbucks employee allegedly denying a black man access to the restroom, before giving it to a white man.
Brandon Ward, of Carson, said he was in a Starbucks in Torrence on Jan. 23 when he asked the cashier if he could have the code to use the restroom, but was told he had to first make a purchase to get the code.
Moments later, Ward said he saw another customer, a white man, walk in.
"He goes straight to the cashier, 'Hey, I need the code,'" Ward said. "They grant him the code."
That's when Ward took out his phone and began recording, and asked the man if he purchased anything, which he hadn't. He then walked with the man up to the counter and confronted the store manager, before a security guard stepped in and informed Ward he had to leave.
Ward can be heard asking "Is it my skin color?" in the video, which has been shared more than 16,000 times and viewed more than 424,000 times.
When asked about the incident in California during a press conference, Johnson declined to comment.
The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.
