I can honestly say...this is not a novelty. This is a legit platform for cooking just about anything you want and the quality of this grill is about the best you will find with store bought anything.

The problem I have with them is that they tempt people into making fajitas when it's clearly burger time.

I was thinking it was cast iron. I looked at these a while back online and was debating on getting one. For some reason I think I want one with a stainless cooktop though. Even though this thread may change my mind

I have the smaller table top version that runs on the small bottle. We use camping and have been known to fire it up when we have a crowd at the house and need more cooking space. The thing produces some Waffle House worthy grub.

Second cook was a simple hamburger. Not that I'd ever get away from the grill completely for a hamburger, but one thing is abundantly clear...the griddle is a heck of a lot faster than cooking on charcoal or even a propane grill. The griddle produces a juicer burger if you are into the juicy sloppy burgers. Reason being is there is not any run off or drippage of the juices from the burger so it just sits there and cooks in it. Makes great flavor but a little to juicy for my liking. Not a big issue though for a super quick and easy cook. The boys ate them like they were starving.

Ive had the stainless one for 3 years. Haven't used the stove since except to boil water.

So you’re saying I have to chose? Burgers or fajitas?

    Burgers. With a fancy cheese.

He needs to buy a watch first, that thing won’t do no good until he learns to get there on time.

Ha...It'll be on early. Haven't had time to mess with the thing this week but looking to try a few things this weekend.

I also have the 36" and use it at least 3 times a week. It is extremely versatile. My Big Green Egg is starting to feel a little left out since the Blackstone moved in last year.

Posers. You want to be legit? Take the training wheels off and get on this.

If this thing came in bottomland you couldn't keep 'em in stock.
