    Default Wireshark and slow network

For about the last week we have been having internet issues at work. I would've bet the farm that it was our ISP but they put in a new modem in, did some tests and said it wasn't them. I called the company that manages our router/firewall and they said everything looked good on their end. I called the company that monitors our network security and no issues on their end.

I can ping all of my servers, router, switches, etc. and its lightening fast but the internet seems to be in slllloooowwww moooooo. No virus on the network and I'm in the process of checking for malware on each machine. I turned mirroring on in one of my switches so I could see if wireshark found anything and I see a bunch of TCP retransmission's.

I'm not very strong when it comes to figuring out which piece(s) of equipment is causing the bottleneck, so if anyone has any suggestions, please shoot them my way.

    Thank you!

is there anything listed in IE / Tools / Internet Options / Connections / LAN Settings?

check the speed and duplex settings between their edge port and yours. A lot of service providers will have it hard-coded and leaving yours set to auto will cause issues. you will likely have to call them to check their port settings.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
