    Default Dog food

What are you feeding your dog?

I have a senior dog that’s been sick the past couple of days. Im not sure if he got into to something, was bit or what. He hasn’t been eating or drinking. I went and got a small bag of blue buffalo and he gobbled it right down. Honestly started getting a little pep back. Not sure I want to go down the path of $45 for a 30# bag of dog food but he’s not eaten puriana well in quite some time.

We have been doing Taste of The wild for our dog. He is 9 and used to be on Eukanuba Premium before this. After some allergies this has seemed to help. It’s grain free and salmon. He enjoys it. Pacific Stream is the exact one.

I got two 15yo GSP’s that have eaten Dog Chow or Pedigree their entire lives, ones never had a health problem. The male has had a torn shoulder, ears quilted from hematomas, cuts, fight punctures, arthritis etc but never had a digestive issue. Sum bitch will eat anything to this day. My 5yo GSP eats Pedigree and the only time she goes to the vet is for her shots.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

If this list is accurate, Pedigree sucks.

Try feeding the dog gtound deer/beef that is browned, mixed with cottage cheese, and rice. It may help to get his gut right.

Well damn, maybe I should feed that $45.00/bag stuff, I might get the same years out of them.

Been on Pro Plan Sport (Performance) for over 10 years now. Works well for my hounds, but sometimes dogs have allergies and such that they need a special diet. Unfortunately you may have to "trial and error" it till you find the one.

If he's been sick the last couple of days I don't think I would blame it on the food he's been eating for a while. Especially if he isn't drinking.

Feed him some rice and cottage cheese if you want something bland on his stomach. And Gatorade.

But I'd spend $45 at the vet before I bought some fancy food made out of organic fed buffalo ass.

Taste of the Wild for my two hounds. They love it, no scratching, biting or skin issues. Worth the extra $$ imo

I think my wife feeds the silly white dog purina tender and crunchy.. Which the name is just fucking strange. I guess if it's gizzards that's normal. He seems to like it, and the Boykin has switched to it and he doesn't get all itchy or funky ears. I've fed him every sort of fancy ass food that's been around. My old Labs went from Iams to Diamond, after the Diamond thing I switched my dogs to Purina one. He did go on a bit of that science diet, diet.. I saw him in the corner of the woods all uncomfortable one morning, and at some point later I read the label. That stuff is like twenty something percent ground peanut hulls, or was. That's torture.
