    A buddy I used to fish with had those on his boat. From my experience they worked as advertised. Just an idea but if you get a stripping bucket and throw the rod in there while riding you could kill 2 birds with one stone, unless you want the rod holder specifically.

    My jon is a cc, I just lay the butt down at the back bench the the tip at the deck.. I use a rastafarian looking bungee cord to secure it, the cord makes me feel edgy.

    I snagged a plastic pickle barrel from a local restaurant for this purpose

    You should've gotten one of those little 15' flats boat with the casting platform on the front so you could really look the part. You're gonna get that 22' CC stuck on a grass flat and end up on the qualified captain.......
