Your average joe turkey hunter is not good enough or goes enough to kill five gobblers on five separate days. Now if the limit is 2 per day, he can get 5 gobblers in three hunts!
I was wondering if anyone else got 5 tags this year....

He got banned the first time for some crude comments about the victims of the Orlando shooting. Then he came back as an alias and got banned again. Then they updated the site and he was let back in as Cottontop. Mods let him have some fun and then dropped the banhammer on him for good.

I mean y'all act like one gobbler can service like 50 hens per season. Let's think about it...he can probably successfully bread one or two per day. Any more than that he's just shooting blanks. I'm sure there is like a specific time that each hen needs to be bred. I mean...I'd love to service 5 or 6 women each day but after the second one, successful fertilization will be futile.

When the population was at it's peak I still never doubled. I'd rather have 3 birds and 3 hunts than 3 birds and 2 hunts.

3 turkeys is 3 turkeys wether you kill them in one hunt or three hunts is irrelevant.

    Oh and good killing m2field.

to each his own. I would rather have 2 hunts out of those birds than kill 2 together and double up when solo. I have doubled before. It didn't give me anymore satisfaction than killing one. Now it's fun as hell to double when hunting with a buddy, Trent Smith.

Just because you have 3 tags doesn't mean that you have to fill three tags but hey what do I know we only get one tag here in Indiana. If your worried about your turkey population shooting doubles is no different than going out on two different days and shooting one each day. If you truly want to help then don't fill all your tags. Its as simple as that.

Bo, this is South Carolina. The end goal is to use every tag they give you. Deer, turkey, it dont matter

I wish they would give us back our 5 tags and only allow one per day. got my vote!

I've doubled a time or two, but more often I've let the second bird go. kinda like someone said above.... the second bird doesn't always double the adrenaline rush of a kill.

    btw, good killin Bill

Oh trust me I know and I would fill every last tag that I got too. I am just saying for those that want to complain about the population then turn around and be the first to make sure they fill all their tags but on different days so it makes them feel better lol. They can not fill their tags and let the others do as they wish. If a man wants to double that's his business maybe he doesn't have that many days to hunt because of work or just wants two birds to clean/cook. It is the hunters choice to make and until they change the limit to one a day then a man that shoots a double has done nothing wrong.
