With video as only evidence, I'd lean murder. I saw nothing in the video to warrant even taking the gun out of the desk or that the man knew it was there, much less went for it. Good prosecutor should be able to make a good case that retrieving the gun was premeditation.

"The state medical examiner reportedly said the bullet entered Williams’ lower back and exited his upper chest, which is consistent with being shot while bending out a window." ME's report shows the man was likely on his way out the window and shot in the back, not in defense of self or others.

Murder. Hell there wasn't even a gun in view for him to go for. She royally fucked up and so did the jury!

REDRUM. It's almost like the DA charged her to a higher degree than could be convicted. That might have been by design due to history of the victim.

It is my understanding that they charge higher because a jury can always find you guilty of a lesser charge but hey can’t up the charge. If they charged you with manslaughter the jury can not find you guilty of murder. In the opposite I believe they can. I am not a lawyer and may just be wrong.

Guilty of murder, but didn't see anything to lead me to believe first degree murder. At least not from what I've been told first degree is. What I've been taught makes first degree is it being premeditated. I saw nothing in the video to indicate that was her intention from the beginning. I don't think it is manslaughter either, because she intentionally shot him. Maybe some of the legal gurus on hear can clarify for us.

Then it would be second degree murder.

I can't believe that GoPro footage was ever admitted into evidence. If I was that lady or her son, I would have disappeared that.

Certainly looked like that was the intent when he went and grabbed the camera off the wall. I bet he grabbed the camera and they found it on the hard drive or the cloud.

Well the civil suit will be pretty cut and dry.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

How did she not get convicted? She's also a dumb ass for not keeping her side arm on her.

Send a woman to do a man's job.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-
